Advanced 1

Our Advanced 1 program is for riders who have a few thousand miles or more under their belt. Riders who are experienced but want to improve and sharpen their skills should be interested in this course. In the 18 modules of this class, you will practice various skills from picking up a motorcycle, proper head and shoulder positions, riding terminology, slow speed maneuvers, obstacle negotiations, cone weaves, to proper braking concepts and techniques.

  • Proper Braking Techniques – Progressive Training
  • Head And Eye Placement Discipline
  • Coordination of Controls
  • Slow Speed Balancing Techniques & Maneuvers
  • Cornering And Negotiating Curves
  • Swerve / Obstacle Avoidance
  • Lifting A Fallen Motorcycle
  • 3-Day program, riding each day

 

 Pre-requisites:

  • Several Thousand Miles of Riding Experience
  • Valid (M) Endorsement Required

 

Gear Required:

  • (M) Endorsement Required
  • DOT Certified Helmet
  • Full Fingered Gloves (Motorcycle Specific Recommended)
  • Riding Jacket (Leather or other protective material)
  • Long Pants (heavy denim or riding pants recommended)
  • Over the ankle boots (sturdy, not canvas, low heel)
  • Eye Protection (helmet visor, eye glasses, sunglasses, & goggles acceptable)

 

Class Schedule:

  • Friday 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Sunday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
